So you know even tho the fellas brought that funk we was only headlong the ladies! Lol we mean it is what our outlet stands for!
The 2 day event brought some our favorites to the stage and kept us lit both days! Day 1 we grooved with Carl Thomas, Anthony Hamilton, Young Jeezy and tried catching on to all of Mary J. Bilge’s fire dance moves all night.
By Day 2 our voice is strained from all the yelling we did and feet on fire from trying to keep up with the Queen Mary J. and her dance moves the night before. Nevertheless we were able to hold up and make it through Day 2 of Funkfest!
Case was amazing and amazingly still sounds the same he reminded us of all of his many hits during his set.
Then the Ying Yang Twins hyped us all the way up for Dru Hill who celebrated 25 years in music and did a dope tribute to the Late DMX in “What They Really Want” performance.
The King T.I. brought all the funk setting the tone for the BIGGEST boss Rick Ross who definitely put on for his city!
And if after all that you thought about taking a rest, that wasn’t happening because the way Jazmine Sullivan came to the stage and blessed us with that performance we were ready for the big countdown and the Queen Lauryn Hill to take us right in to 2023!
