We thought Taraji P Henson was coming for the kill in 2016 with her overarching role as Cookie in Empire and recently her award winning performance for her leading role in Pharell produced film “Hidden Figures”. Yet little do we know that is just the beginning. Variety announced that Taraji will be playing a role in a film that we haven’t quite tasted her in yet.
Starting in April she will begin shooting for a film where she plays the lead role as a hit-woman whose life gets turned upside down by and unfortunate encounter, with a boy.

She will always be remembered for her iconic performance in the hit film “Baby Boy” with Tyrese Gibson. Hidden Figures glowed as the Number 1 movie in the country during its opening weekend, even heading up against Star Wars Rogue One. Excited that just a couple of days ago, Fox renewed its contract for another season of Empire and YES, Cookie will be back! I think I may be more excited to see Taraji get her Halle-Berry-Catwoman on in this new action film. Stay tuned as we get release dates, directors, and supporting actor announcements.
