In the last few months, many people have taken part in many crazy and bizarre challenges. There were a variety of challenges from ones that promoted a charitable cause such as the ice bucket challenge to fatally life threatening like the cinnamon challenge. There was one challenge in particular that caught my attention, mainly because it’s more appealing to the average female.  Especially those who wouldn’t mind losing those few extra muffin-top pounds.

Where do you find such a challenge you say?  The seven-day challenge! Put your worst eating habits and desires to the test. The challenge includes no

  1. Soda
  2. Bread
  3. Red meat
  4. Alcohol
  5. Pasta
  6. Sweets
  7. Daily intakes citric fruits, green veggies, chicken or fish
  8. One gallon of water
  9. At least 30 minutes of exercise

Healthy_food  The point of the experiment is to figure out if the challenge works and if so, is the gain, or loss in this case, really worth it. To start my challenge, it didn’t seem that bad.  It offered me a chance to indulge in one of my favorite pastimes: shopping!  I loaded up on all the necessary foods to start. Day one was easy.  Of course, I had more than enough items to eat, so I was great. By day five I was craving all of the sugary, red meat, pasta infused goodness I was used to gorging myself with.  As the days go by I started noticing little habits of mine that changed slightly like waking up not feeling so, sluggish and exhausted.

Surprisingly, the challenge forevermore changed my taste in food.  I crave more homemade foods than junk/fast food.  In fact, they don’t even seem to pop up on my radar as much!  During the challenge I lost three pounds.

I would recommend this diet plan for someone who might be getting eloped. Keep in mind results may vary due to metabolism changes one may undergo as they mature. This challenge is something quick and effective to look good and feel good but is not necessary to live by on a day to day, a healthy balanced diet and exercise will do just fine.
