Being an independent artist is difficult. Being a FEMALE independent artist is a whole nother ball game. It’s that much harder to get people to take you serious and almost impossible to get exposure. When Rarriant in partnership with Damour Events noticed the struggle these artists were enduring they decided to do something about it. From this the Queens Don’t Compete Show case was born. To put the icing on the cake, radio host and media personality Supa Cindy was tapped to host this one of a kind event.
On Wed, October 2, 2019 the city showed up in a special way for a special cause. The Queen’s don’t compete all female show case. Prior to the show, the crowd mixed and mingled with some of the many vendors in the building. The place was crawling with media, interviewing the excited participants and snapping pictures left and right. The energy in the room was all positive as everyone argued that their fave would take home the crown. The winner would take home a paid A3C performance, free studio time, and free PR services so needless to say the stakes were high. It wasn’t long before the multicultural mami herself took the stage and the show was ready to start. Artist after artist took the stage giving it all they’ve got. One thing is for sure Miami has a ton of hidden gems and they all came out to play last night. Special guest included hometown fave Tierra Traniece, Miami Tip,& Pilly Mae.
