As we lead up to the 2025 Miss Black Florida USA Scholarship Pageant, Pretty Hustlaz is thrilled to showcase inspiring contestants competing for the crown in the Miss, Ms./Mrs., and Teen divisions. In this profile, we introduce Adria Boultin, the reigning Ms. Black Richmond Heights. Her journey reflects resilience, self-discovery, and the courage to step beyond comfort zones as she reaches for the state title.
For Boultin, the decision to compete in the Miss Black Florida USA Scholarship Pageant was more than just a pageant—it was an opportunity for growth and self-empowerment. “I wanted to experience being around a different set of women and to win within myself by stepping outside of my comfort zone,” she tells Hy-Lo News Publisher, Janey Tate. Inspired by her platform, Black Girls Win, Boultin is dedicated to empowering young Black girls with a message of resilience and hope.
Growing up in Richmond Heights, Florida, Boultin recalls the strong sense of community that shaped her independence and identity. Her platform, Black Girls Win, is all about helping young girls recognize their strength and resilience. “No matter how many times you’ve fallen, you can get back up and win again,” she shares. Her own experiences, from overcoming homelessness to embracing new challenges, have shown her that even life’s hardest moments are stepping stones to success.
Throughout her pageant journey, Boultin has found support from friends like Mo’raye Banks with Rated R Miami, who has been a constant source of encouragement. For the talent portion of the competition, she’ll perform an original spoken word piece, marking her return to the stage after 10 years. “This pageant isn’t just about winning; it’s about taking back my power,” she says with pride.
When asked about the mission of the Miss Black Florida USA Pageant, Boultin emphasized the importance of celebrating Black women in today’s social climate. “This organization is creating a safe space for women to thrive,” she explains. “As titleholders, we become so much more than just pageant queens—we become pillars of our community.”
