Set for Labor Day weekend at Hard Rock Stadium, this game will be more than just a battle on the field’s a celebration of HBCU excellence, culture, and legacy.
Kendra Bulluck-Major: Reviving a Legacy, Creating Opportunities
The Orange Blossom Classic has a storied history dating back to 1933 when J.R.E. Lee Jr. founded it as a way to showcase HBCU football talent. After a long hiatus, Kendra Bulluck-Major, the powerhouse Executive Director behind the OBC, took on the challenge of reviving this iconic event in 2021.
Under her leadership, the OBC has become more than just a game it’s an economic driver, a scholarship generator, and a cultural movement. She has successfully positioned the event as a national stage for HBCU excellence, ensuring that students, athletes, and alumni feel empowered and celebrated.
