The beauty industry is a multi-million dollar industry expected to hit the billions very soon. New people are entering the fast changing industry everyday with many wanting to enter and not knowing how. So how can we help these individuals get on the right path to a new career? The answer is the CEO Beauty Mixer. Imagine a panel of women and men who have decades of experience combined ready and willing to answer any questions and speak on their own struggles so you don’t make the same mistakes. This was the purpose and energy at the CEO Beauty Mixer held this past Saturday at The One Gentleman’s Club hosted by Ola Wilkerson and Ciara Reign. These two ladies joined forces to bring a wealth of knowledge in an unconventional way.

I know what you’re thinking. How can you hold a networking event in a gentleman’s club? My question to you is why not? We all know Miami has a culture of its own and going to a gentleman’s club is just as common as going out to eat at your favorite restaurant. The One was generous enough to sponsor this important event. The attendees had little to no reservations about attending to gain as much knowledge as possible and network with some heavy hitters in the beauty game. The panel included celebrity stylist Angela Meadows, the first person to embody and coin the term “serial entrepreneur” and owner of Tippie Toes Dana Cody, international master stylist and creator  of relentless bond waterproof Relentless, owner of lashed and lovely beauty lounge Shaneka Mobley, make up extraordinaire and professional youtuber Norkita Monroe, and attorney & business consultant Sherria Williams. The Panel was curated by Ola the Boss, owner of Hair Goddess Boutique herself. After playing a few networking games and opening the evening with a toast to big things in 2020, the attendees chowed down on brunch by Pretty Healthy Restaurant.  The oxtails shrimp & grits were delicious made by Miami’s fav Ikrave! Each attendee was gifted a bag sponsored by Palm Beach Physical Medicine. Soon after, the panelists took turns answering questions. The crowd also got to ask how to handle certain struggles they were having in their journeys as business owners. If you are a business owner or someone who wants to be a business owner THIS is where you need to be. Don’t fret if you missed this one. The good news is this event will be held every 1st Saturday so make sure you have your face in the place for the next one. This event also has vendor opportunities so be sure to ask how you can be a vendor at the next one! This month’s featured vendor was Youdlyn Calixte of Sevyn Lashes. In the meantime, check out a few flicks from this amazing event below!
