Four years after releasing her hit single “It Won’t Stop” with Chris Brown, Sevyn Streeter has released her debut solo album “Girl Disrupted”. Sevyn recently revealed that she has been waiting on this moment for the last 15 years. Sevyn, who has written for artist such as Brandy, Kelly Rowland, Fantasia and Chris Brown to name a few, had felt defeated  with being an artist. Sevyn recently revealed in an interview with the LA Times that she was frustrated and depressed. While fans were awaiting an album, she was having thoughts of taking her own life. She found her escape by picking up a pen and writing. Birthing “Girl Disrupted” which was released on Sevyn’s 31st birthday on Friday.

The album was inspired by the 1999, Angeline Jolie move Girl Interrupted. The album has guest appearances from The Dream, Wiz Khalifa, Jeremih, Dej Loaf, August Alsina to Ty Dolla Sign. The album has a 90s feel reminiscent of the sounds of Brandy, SWV and Mary J Blige. The track “Anything U Want”, featuring Wiz Khalifa, Jermiah and Ty Dolla Sign, samples SWV’s 1992 hit “Anything”

The 13 track album is available now and its safe to say Sevyn is breathing a little easier. There are talks of a Girl Disrupted Tour. Pretty Hustlaz will keep you posted as we learn of tour information.
