COVID-19 has put a halt on many things. Plenty of events that would normally take place won’t and everyone including us here at Pretty Hustlaz have had to find new and innovative ways to stay connected as well as bring you guys the fresh new content we are known for. On Thursday, August 20th we had the honor of interviewing the beautiful and talented Erica Banks. We were super excited to chop it up with her and most importantly, congratulate her on the success of her new mixtape which is self-titled Erica Banks. If you didn’t know, our Instagram live serves as home to our “Power of Networking” series where each week we speak with Pretty Hustlaz in all fields as they dish the dirt on how they are holding up during the pandemic and what does networking mean to them. - All of These H*es – Erica opens the project with a fun and sassy track. We can def see ourselves riding through the streets heading to brunch or a night out blasting this one with our besties. Let’s face it. We all know some h*es that be flexin, hating, not getting money on site and fakin’ (lol)
- Toot That(Feat Beat King) – Honestly, every female project needs a song to make the girls dance in the mirror and just feel themselves. This is that track on the Erica Banks mixtape. It doesn’t hurt that the track samples Huey Pop Lock & drop It. Nostalgia at its finest.
- Hell Naw- You guys may remember we featured this track on our Instagram and we told you then it was a bop. Erica asks all the important questions on this relatable track. Relatability is big for us when we’re deciding if we like a song or not. This one hits the mark!
- Buss it- Another nostalgic moment! We knew when we heard “I think my butt getting big” this was the one for us! Make sure to check out the visual for Buss it as well.
- Trip Out- For some odd reason we love to hear rappers sing or give us something melodic. Erica does just that on this sexy track. “I got what he want, I got what a ni**a need” Us too Erica, us too lol.
- Tony Story, Pt 1- We are halfway through the mixtape . We’ve had a good time and felt sexy up to this point. Erica picked the perfect time to switch gears. Not only did she slow it down she showed off her story telling skills. Story telling is an important and sometimes forgotten element. Ms. Banks made sure to let us know hers are up to par.
- Do What I Like- Back to the hard hitting lyrics again. We love how the verses are hard but she croons seductively on the chorus.
- Married-When asked what track was her favorite Erica didn’t hesitate to tell us Married. As we listened we can understand why. She flexed her lyrical ability in a BIG way.
- Sitting Back Loaded (Feat Lil Migo)- Being Trick and Trina babies has given us a special love for a good battle of the sexes track. Lil Migo talks his ish in the beginning but you better believe Erica Banks finishes it in the end.
- Give it Up- Another melodic track perfectly placed at #10. It’s also probably the most vulnerable track on the project to us as Erica explains to us that she isn’t what she used to be.
- Beat it Up- Back to the party on this fast and fun track, def brought the twerk back into the project just before it comes to an end.
- Tony Story Pt2- The project ends with remainder of the Tony track. Wanna know what happens in Tony’s Story? We aint the ones to gossip so you have to head over and give the project a listen. We promise you won’t be disappointed!
