Pretty Hustlaz is a network of women that prides itself on supporting the goals, efforts and work of other women. When we heard Miami’s own Supa Cindy in partnership with The City of Miami Gardens was throwing the 1st annual Miami Day Festival on July 4th 2018, we knew we had to support. Miami Day was not only an event to celebrate the birth of the nation, but it also served as the re-launch of Supa Cindy’s non-profit organization “Supa Friends”.  This Free for all event was complete with amusement rides for the kids, food trucks, artist performances and informational booths. There was something there for everyone.

The day kicked off with a energy filled performance by The Young Contemporary Dance Team. This group didn’t let a little rain stop them, they still managed to deliver without flaw. Lucky for us the rain let up and the sun came out, allowing the fun to continue on. Next up was Teen Trendsetter Queen Kay. She did not hesitate to get the crowd hype with her single “Trendsetter”. The Phrey Band blessed us with some R&B hits and good vibes. Other acts included  Raiden Rush and 99 cosign  winner James Chuck . Suddenly the crowd began to rush the stage. It was non other than hometown favorite Ball Greezy, who originally was out of town but made time to rock the stage with hits “My Bae” & Nice & Slow. The crowd sang along loudly and enthusiastically. The female artist Pilly Mae and Ann-Derie held their own.  It Wasn’t long before things were in full swing just before night fall and all of the fan favorites hot the stage. Lil Dread and JT Money got us in the mood with their Hit ”Party” Young Gordon got the crowd moving and can’t forget our favorite duo Kiddo Marv and Major Nine with the song of the summer “Drip”.

With all of the fun going on we worked up an appetite and made plenty of food truck visits! Tios, Miami Rice, ComersMobileCreamyTreats, Fruity Dressed Conch, and 6 SKillz were all in attendance just to name a few. The night ended with a firework display. We Thank Supa Cindy and her Supa Friends for bringing such a positive event to our community as well as allowing us to be a part.
