I am always on a constant search for something fresh and exciting to do! Don’t get me wrong, dinner and a movie is great but there are so many more things to do on date night or girls night out. So I tasked myself with the job of finding unique events around the city (coming to a city near you lol) that are unique, fun, and reasonably priced.
On Tuesday I had the opportunity to attend an Erotic Poetry & Comedy show powered by Cassie (@cassie_fab) of Kiss The Mic
Productions. Doors opened at 7:00 p.m and the show started shortly after 8:00pm. Star Lounge where the event took place is located in Downtown Hollywood, Florida. Patrons enjoyed cuisine from Val’s Kitchen (@vals_kitchen) and access to a full bar with drink specials all night long. Participants in the show compete for the opportunity to walk away with bragging rights and cash prizes. The Best Comedic Act was awarded $300 and the Best Erotic Poetry Act was awarded $150. The show was amazing! I laughed, cheered, and even had the opportunity to network with individuals after the show. Ms Phay (@iammsphay_) was an amazing host and kept the audience engaged throughout the entire evening.
After the show, the afterparty started immediately after and loved the fact that I didn’t have to leave the venue! Dj Bre hopped on the turntables setting the mood and had everyone up on their feet dancing. 3MG recording artist Arie (@arietheartist) took the stage and performed her hit single “Better Man” LIVE! Did I mention that there was more food? Cuisine for the afterparty was provided by @chef_enakitchen.
